Schematic recommendations that change after that date will not be reflected in this checklist. It is still strongly recommended to submit your schematic to the Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. (QTI) Customer Engineering (CE) Team for a formal design review. In general, the CAD symbols used in customer schematics will not be verified by QTI. 1.1 Purpose of this checklist This checklist is an accumulation of lessons learned from QTI internal MTP design and testing. The QTI CE team will use this checklist to verify each customer-submitted schematic design. Consider each of these items when doing individual product designs. 1.2 Schematic review timeline • Provide your TAM or QTI customer engineer with as much advance notice as possible regarding the date when your schematic will be ready for a design review. This gives the QTI CE team time to prepare, and time to schedule a design review in advance. • Prior notification for a design review should be at least one week. • Allow a minimum of five business days for a full schematic review, and for comments to be provided via a Salesforce design-review case. • Allow a minimum of three to four business days for a PCB placement-only review, and for comments to be provided via a Salesforce design-review case. • Allow a minimum of five business days for a PCB layout review, and for comments to be provided via a Salesforce design-review case. 1.3 Schematic checks that the customer must verify • Correctness of net names and their connections in customer designs • On CAD symbols, all pin numbers and pin names 1.4 Schematic information that the customer must provide • GPIO mapping/assignments, including pullup and sleep configuration • GRFC assignments • RF control logics (PA, GPS, switches, etc.) • EBI signal assignments • External-component datasheets • Regulator usage summary (PMIC out vs. source supply) • All termination summary (calibration pin, USB_EXT, etc.) • Customer response to previous review feedback • Revision history for previous revision of schematic 80-NL713-111 Rev.
