Mounted combat is normally conducted with a force that includes tanks, armored cavalry, air cavalry, attack helicopters, and mechanized forces sup- ported on the battlefield by mobile artillery and engineers and by a mobile combat service sup- port system. 1N 1, % . Entries in the remarks column of Section 11o f the TOE designate specific individuals to be armed with a weapon, or weapons, other than the rifle. Rifle mounted grenade launchers, however, are authorized the squad, section, etc, in bulk for use as desired by the commander. I In this text, the following abbreviations are used to indicate the specific weapon(s) authorized each individual. Rifle grenade launchers have been included as an example of how this weapon may be distributed within the unit.
