G.S.R. 15(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of section 12 of the
Waqf Act, 1995 (43 of 1995), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the
Central Waqf Council (Group ‘A, B and C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts) Recruitment Rules, 2014,
namely:—

1. (1) These rules may be called the Central Waqf Council (Group ‘A, B and C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-
Ministerial posts) Recruitment Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Central Waqf Council (Group ‘A, B and C’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial posts)
Recruitment Rules, 2014, in the Schedule,-
(I) against serial number 6, relating to the post of Assistant (Accounts) / Accountant, in the entries
under column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;
(II) against serial number 7, relating to the post of Assistant (Legal), in the entries under column 6,
for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;
(III) against serial number 8, relating to the post of Assistant (Development) /Assistant, in the
entries under column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;
(IV) against serial number 9, relating to the post of Stenographer,-
(A) in the entries under column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted,
namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;
(B) in the entries under column 7, under the heading “(a) Essential”, for item (iii), the
following item shall be substituted, namely:-
“(iii) Adequate Knowledge of computer in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power point,
etc.), internet surfing, e-mailing; and having typing speed of 35 words in English or 30 words
in Hindi per minute in computer corresponding to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) or
9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depression for each word.” ;
(V) against serial number 10, relating to the post of Library, Documentation and Reference
Assistant, in the entries under column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted,
namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,

(B) in the entries under column 7, under the heading “(a) Essential”, for item (ii), the following
item shall be substituted, namely:-
“(ii) Adequate Knowledge of computer in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Power point,
etc.), internet surfing, e-mailing; and having typing speed of 35 words in English or 30 words
in Hindi per minute in computer corresponding to 10500 Key Depression Per Hour (KDPH) or
9000 KDPH on an average of 5 key depression for each word.” ;
(X) against serial number 15, relating to the post of Steno Typist, in the entries under column 6, for
the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;
(XI) against serial number 16, relating to the post of Dispatch Rider / Driver-cum- Dispatch Rider,
in the entries under column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.” ;

column 6, for the Note, the following Note shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note : The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of
applications from candidates in India except the closing date prescribed for those in Assam,
Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh
division of Jammu and Kashmir State, Lahaul and Spiti district and Pangi Sub-division of
Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep.”
