I0(E).—In exercise ofthe powers conferred by Sub-section (]) of Section 124, read with Sub-section (1) of Section 132 ofthe Major Ports Trust Act, 1963 (38 of 1963), the Central Government hereby approves the Madras Port Trust Employees' (Retirement) Amendment Regulations, 2000 made by the Board of Trustees for the Port of Chennai Port Trust and set out in the Schedule to be annexed to this notification SCHEDULE Madras Port Trust Employees' (Retirement) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000 In exercise ofthe powers conferred under Section 28 ofthe Major Port Trusts Act, 1963, the Channai Port Trust Board hereby makes the following amendment Regulations. (1) Short title and commencement (i) These Regulations shall be called the Madras Port Trust Employees1 (Retirement) (Amendment) Regulations, 2000. (ii) The said amendment Regulations shall come into force effective from 31st January, 2001 A/N (2) In the Madras Port Trust Employees' (RctiremcTil) Regulations, the following amendments shall be made which will be effective from 31st January, 2001 A/N-— (i) In Regulation 3 ofthe aforesaid Regulations the words '60 years1 shall be substituted by the words '58 years'. (ii) In Regulation 4 ofthe aforesaid Regulations the words '60 years'shall be suteJituted by the words '58 years'. (iii) The existing provision in para 2 (1) in the "criteria" attached as Anncxure to the aforesaid Regulation shall be subsitituted as under:— 2(1) "Extension of Service/Re-employment can be justified only in very rare and exceptional circumstances Even in such cases, the age limit shall be as prescribed by Government in respect of Non-Scientific/ Non-Technical as well as Scientific/Technical posts. |F No PR-12016/49/2000-PE-I] K.V RAO, Jt.
