Recently while reorganizing the herbarium a 156 of type specimens belonging to 84 Malayan and Indian plant names were found. All these type specimens are reported here with correct citation. Keywords: Calcutta University Herbarium, Type specimens. INTRODUCTION type specimens deposited at CUH and majority of which are of Malayan names. In the present report additional 156 Calcutta University Herbarium an internationally type specimens of 84 names of angiosperms enumerated recognized plant repository whose acronym is CUH. here with the respective CUH accession numbers. It is located at the Department of Botany, University of Calcutta. CUH was established by Prof. S.P. Agharkar in TYPE DETAILS 1920. The herbarium contains more than 25,000 plant specimens of all groups from various parts of world and Aglaia forbesii King, J. Asiat. Soc. Bengal, Pt. 2, Nat. Hist. India. About 20,000 specimens of angiosperms are the key 64(2): 68.1895 [1896 publ. 1895]. (Meliaceae). elements of this repository (Maity, 2012).
