WhentheWakeForestUniversityHowlerwascreatedninetyyears
ago, the school was a small Baptist institution located in Wake Forest.
Today,theschoolhasmovedtoWinston-Salem,brokenfromtheBaptist
church, and has become the top small university in the South.
The yearbook was named the Howler after a monthly newsletter
which was posted on the tree bulletinboard atthe oldcampus. The tree
"howled" out information tothose who walkedby. The students would
gatheraround the tree and read the newsletterwhich pictured life in the
Wake Forest community. Even though the school has changed, we are
still strivingtopicture studentlifeatWakeForest,justastheHowlerhas
done for ninety years.
