Lynne Miller, RN, MSN, RN-BC. At Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA, Lynne was a highly respected nurse leader who moved from administration to information technology and led the implementation of the organizational-wide hospital information system. Working together, Lynne taught me many lessons about healthcare informatics even before it was named a discipline. She taught me about the value of efficient and effective hard work. She taught me about teamwork. She taught me clinical protocol. Moreover, she taught me that OS not only stands for “operating system” but “left eye” too. As someone who embodies all that continuing professional development and lifelong learning encompass, I dedicate this book to H. Lynne Miller, RN, MSN, RN-BC. Thank you for the many lessons you shared with me and for our friendship that remains today. JoAnn W.
