Thanks to Christel Winkler at John Wiley & Sons for understanding that a doctor/author with ADD who is writing a book about ADD and ADHD was probably going to deliver chapters and revisions late. Often quite late. Mari Florence and Skye Van Raalte-Herzog put this project together. Thank you. Jennifer Chang’s name is on the cover of this book with mine because, while I might have had some good ideas about treating ADD/ADHD naturally, she had the natural writing skills. Great job, Jennifer! My wife, Meyera Robbins, created the recipes, cooking ideas, and meal plans, as well as edited the manuscript with me, and should have her name on the cover, too, above mine. She deserves all the credit when your children and family love the meals and snacks presented in this book. Anything I ever write is dedicated to Meyera. If you think coping with your child’s attention deficit is difficult, you should try switching places with my wife as she copes with my (unmedicated) ADD year after year. Our daughter, Simone, gets credit for inspiring me and being the greatest kid ever. Thanks to a real professional author, Seth Greenland, for telling me that an overly effusive acknowledgments page is not needed. I thank you effusively for that advice and will now list just a few more people who helped get me through the day and a few more who agreed to look at vii
