1st ORDINARY ELECTIONS TO THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS IN THE STATE - RESERVATION OF
OFFICES OF MAYORS TO SCHEDULE TRIBES, SCHEDULED CASTES, BACKWARD CLASSES
AND WOMEN.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 29 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019 (Act No.11 of
2019) read with Rule 14 of the Telangana Municipalities (Reservations of offices of Mayor in Municipal Corporations)
Rules, 2019 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 217, MA&UD (MA) Dept., dt. 02-08-2019 the Governor of Telangana hereby
specifies the number of offices of Mayors reserved for members belonging to Schedule Tribes, Scheduled Castes,
Backward Classes and Women as specified in Annexure-I and also reservations to the office of the 13 Municipal
Corporations in the State as specified in Annexure-II appended to this notification for election to the offices of Mayor
of the said Municipal Corporation.
