LEVY OF TOLLS ON MOTOR VEHICLES FOR COLLECTION OF 'U SER FEE ' FROM THE USER OF CHENNAI OUTER
RING ROAD , PHASE -I AND || UNDER THE INDIAN TOLL ACT .

In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (c ) of sub -s ection (1 ) and clause (c ) of sub -s ection (2 ) of Section 2 of the
Indian Toll Act, 1851 (C entral Act VIII of 1851 ), t he Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby levies tolls on motor vehicles ,f or the use of
- -
the Chennai Outer Ring Road connecting NH -3 2 (4 5 ) at Vandalur to Minjur in Thiruvotriyur – Ponneri - Pancheti (T PP Road )
via NH -4 8 (4 ) at Nazarathpet , NH -7 16 (2 05 ) at Nemilicheri & NH -1 6 (5 ) at Padiyanallur from km :0 + 0 00 to Km :6 0 + 150 ,
maintained on a long term Concession basis under DBFOT mode by the Concessionaire and operated by the Tamil Nadu Road
Development Company Limited at the rates specified in the Schedule to this Notification for the period commencing from the
date of Notification till 31-03-2022 .

shall be liable to pay fee for entering the overloaded vehicle to the Toll Plaza , equal to ten times of the fee
applicable to such category of vehicle and shall not be entitled to make use of the highway section unless the
excess load has been removed from such mechanical vehicle .

In exercise of the powers conferred by Clause (b ) of Section 4 of the Indian Toll Act , 1851 (C entral Act VIII of 1851 ), t he
Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby exempts from levy of tolls for the passage of following mechanical vehicle on the section of the
Chennai Outer Ring Road connecting NH -3 2 (4 5 ) at Vandalur to Minjur in Thiruvotriyur – Ponneri - Pancheti (T PP Road ) via
NH -4 8 (4 ) at Nazarathpet , NH -7 16 (2 05 ) at Nemilicheri & NH -1 6 (5 ) at Padiyanallur from Km :0 + 0 00 to Km :6 0 + 150 , maintained
on a long term Concession basis under DBFOT mode by the Concessionaire and operated by the Tamil Nadu Road Development
Company Limited during the period commencing from the date of Notification till 31-03-2022 .

(i x) the Judge of the Supreme Court ;
(x ) the Minister of State of the Union ;
(x i) the Lieutenant Governor of Union territory ;
(x ii) the Chief of Staff holding the rank of full General or equivalent rank ;
(x iii) the Chairman of the Legislative Council of a State ;
(x iv) the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the State ;
(x v ) the Chief Justice of High Court ;
(x vi) the Judge of a High Court ;
(x vii) the Member of Parliament ;
(x viii) the Army Commander or Vice -C hief of Army Staff and equivalent in other services ;
(x ix ) the Chief Secretary to a State Government within concerned State ;
(x x ) the Secretary to the Government of India ;
(x xi) the Secretary , Council of States ;
(x xii) the Secretary , House of People ;
(x xiii) the Foreign dignitary on State visit ;
(x xiv ) the Member of Legislative Assemble of a State and the Member of Legislative Council of a State within their
respective State ,i f he or she produces his or her identity card issued by the concerned Legislature of the State ;
(X XV ) the awardee of Param Vir Chakra ,A shok Chakra ,M aha Vir Chakra ,K irti Chakra ,V ir Chakra and Shaurya Chakra ,
ifs uch awardee produces his or her photo identity card duly authenticated by the appropriate or competent authority
for such award ;
(b ) Used for official purposes by,
(i) the Ministry of Defence including (A rmy ,A ir force & Navy );
(i )i the Central and State armed forces in uniform including para military forces and police ;
(i ii) an executive Magistrate ;
(i v) a fire -f ighting department or organization and
(v ) the National Highway Authority of India or any other Government organisation using such vehicle for
inspection ,s urvey , construction or operation of national highways and maintenance thereof ;
(C ) used as ambulance and
(d ) used as funeral vehicle .
