NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT PUBLIC DEPARTMENT AMENDMENTS TO THE TAMIL NADU LEGISLATORS' (MEDICAL ATTENDANCE AND TREATMENT TO FORMER MEMBERS) RULES, 1982. [G.O. Ms. No. 54, Public (Establishment.I & Legislature), 6th January 2020, ñ£˜èN 21, Mè£K, F¼õœÀõ˜ ݇´-2050.] No. SRO A-1(b)/2020. In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 read with sub-section (4) of Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Payment of Salaries Act, 1951 (Tamil Nadu Act XX of 1951), the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Tamil Nadu Legislators’ (Medical Attendance and Treatment to former Members) Rules, 1982. A(cid:3477)(cid:3469)(cid:3478)(cid:3468)(cid:3477)(cid:3469)(cid:3478)(cid:3484)(cid:3483) In the said Rules, in rule 3,- 1. the existing rule shall be re-numbered as sub-rule (2); 2. before sub-rule (2), as so re-numbered, the following sub-rule shall be inserted, namely:- “(1) Every person, who had been a Minister, Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Leader of Opposition, Chief Government Whip and the Parliamentary Secretary, but had ceased to be in such post at any time, shall be entitled to the medical treatment and attendance on the same terms and conditions, as are admissible to the Minister, Speaker or Deputy Speaker, as provided in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly (Medical Attendance and Treatment) Rules, 1964”; 3. in sub-rule (2) as so re-numbered, in the fi rst proviso, for the expression “in the rule”, the expression “in this sub-rule” shall be substituted.
