Or how aboutthosepopquizzesoverreadingyouthought Mom was due next week, the surprise visit from or Dad or the 20 bucks Grandma sends. The people are what makes AU the place it is and the place we will reminisce about years from now. Roommates we loved and the ones wewould ratherforget. Floormateswhotookyou out on your 21st birthday and bought you a beer. The people with whom you went through rush. The professor who piqued your interest in a sub- jectyouthoughtyouhated. Andtheprofessorwho deflated your ideasand opinionsabout a subject. Or how about the worker at TDR who nearly runs you overwith the traycart. The persons we meet in our time here cause us to reevaluate who we are and where we are going. The friends (and enemies)wemakeherehelpustobetterourselves academically, emotionally and physically. How could one forget the great intramural wars be- tweenfloors, friendsandfraternities?Orbetteryet, the 3 am fire alarm at 20degrees below in Febru- ary? How about the slow walk home from Tenley after missing the last shuttle? All of these experi- ences shape us and color us long after leaving 4400 Massachusetts Ave. N.W.
