Althoughevery effort has beenmade toensure the correctness ofthese programs, Bentley Systems, Inc. will not accept responsibility for any mistake, error, or misrepresentation inor as a result ofthe usage ofthese programs. NotesonComparisons Ineachverificationproblem, a table is usedtosummarize the numerical outputs from STAAD.Prowitha reference or handcalculations. Adifference columnpresents the percent deviationfromthe reference, whena significant difference exists. The deviationis takenas the reference value minus the value determinedby STAAD.Pro, divided by the reference value toexpress inpercent ofthe reference. Inthis context, "significant"is take as larger thana 1% (one percent)difference. Whena difference between0.5% and1% exists, thenthe difference is simply listedas "<1%". Otherwise, the difference is listedas "none". This level ofsignificance is intendedtoreflect that small differences inrounding or calculation methods donot present a realistic difference inthe calculatedresult.
