On the subject of this book is the study of data on the structure and organization of the Soviet Army during 1941, reflected in the original work prepared by the Ministry of Defence of Soviet Union. Pages of the document edited by Soviet Ministry of Defence. The way to reflect the information for each period, usually dated to the first day of each month, consists on a structure of a chapter for each of these periods. Each chapter consists of two main blocks. - In the first of which includes a list of all formations sorted by rank order and type, along with the tactical symbol which will be reflected in the Order of Battle and the classification data that will locate in the deployment. (The question of clasficación criteria discussed in the next chapter.) - And in the second, is represented the structure and the deployment of the Soviet Army in this period, the units are reflected by its tactical symbol and their numbers. Included in this section a series of plans and maps, collected from numerous secondary sources that are sealed in the bibliography section, for easy viewing of the formations deployment. As for the symbolism of the units, has tried to follow the conventional pattern of tactical symbol NATO-like in terms of size and type. In the early chapters on the situation in each period, there is a list of formations grouped by type and body with a marker whose purpose is to locate each unit in the Order of Battle, showing that larger units were subordinate.
