She has published widely in the areas of “race” and prejudice, social representations theory, and discursive psychology. She is coeditor with Kate Reynolds of Understanding Prejudice, Racism and Social Conflict (Sage, 2001) and coauthor of Social Cognition: An Integrated Introduction (2nd ed., Sage, 2006) with Iain Walker and Ngaire Donaghue. Pia Broderickis an associate professor in the School of Psychology at Murdoch University in Western Australia. She is a developmental and clinical psychologist with research interests including psychosocial issues in infertility treatment and alternate family formation, parent-child attachment, and the optimal development of families and individuals. She also runs a private practice in clinical psychology, specializing in work with children, adolescents, and families. Helen Correiais an associate lecturer in the School of Psychology at the University of Western Sydney. Her research interests include psycho- logical and social issues relating to the use of technology. She is also a reg- istered psychologist with particular experience in the areas of anxiety and depression. Kay Deauxis a distinguished professor of psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. She has served as president of the American Psychological Society, the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues, and the Society of Personality and Social Psychology. Her books include Representations of the Social: Bridging Theoretical Traditions(with Gina Philogène, Blackwell, 2001) and To Be an Immigrant(Russell Sage, 2006). Caroline Howarth is a lecturer in social psychology at the London School of Economics. Her research and teaching seeks to push social psy- chology in general and social representations theory in particular into a
