Christ is marvelously foreshadowed in every piece of the Tabernacle (in every board, pillar, rope, and socket; in every curtain, covering, and every piece of its furniture). Every feature was planned by God with design and purpose.
Christ is the Gate, the Door, and the Veil: the only way to reach the Holy of Holies. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6)
God designed that the furniture should be placed in the form of a cross. The Way of the Cross is the only way to heaven.
Here I was reading about the Tabernacle from the Old Testament books of Exodus and Leviticus (which are supposed to be somewhat dry reading). But soon it was like a curtain pulled open, and there I began to see Jesus Christ, the Son of God! Most of the pages in this little volume focus on Him.
Among the books about Jesus, this one stands out so significantly that I plan to return to its pages for future studies. If you are looking for something that will deepen your understanding of Jesus and your love for Him, you can find a rich experience by studying the Tabernacle with this author.
It is useful for personal or group study. If for you the Old Testament Scriptures do not seem relevant for today, I encourage you to read this book. It has been a blessing to me.
