f y speak to me for a minute, and shared her story of coming to the shelter

s a few years ago with her son, after her soon to be ex-husband had again
g become violent. She didn’t want her son to continue to live in an abusive

home, and had nowhere to go. She is back on her feet now, with a new life,

p and a husband who loves and cherishes her, her son, and their baby. Her

l gratitude was so heartfelt, it was a powerful reminder that the work we do
e
h makes a difference every day.
