In addition to many studies in Byzantino-Arabica, the Koran, and Arabic literature, he was the author of The Martyrs of Najrân, Subsidia Hagiographica 49 (Brussels, 1971) and edited the Arabic version of one of Themistius’s orations, Epistula de re publica gerenda, for the Bibliotheca Teubneriana.
