It is an eight-episode series set in Oakland California. It is about a somewhat dysfunctional family where Nick Brewer, a perfect husband and father, is held hostage holding a series of disturbing signs on a video that went viral, which said that he would die if the video crossed 5 million views. His wife, sister and the rest of the family freak out trying to find him before the video reaches 5 million views. As they look for the person who kidnapped him, his family finds out that Nick wasn’t as perfect as he seemed to be. What if something is being plotted against him? The series revolves around social media and depicts the ways dangerous and uncontrolled impulses that are increasing by social media; it shows the increasing gap between virtual and real-life personas.
