Cut 5 strips 2˝ wide, then from these cut 4 strips 2˝ × 29˝ and 8 strips 2˝ × 10˝.

Cut 35 strips 11⁄2˝ wide.
From 25 of the strips, cut 50 of each length: 11⁄2˝ × 4˝, 11⁄2˝ × 6˝, and 11⁄2˝ × 10˝.

1. Use a scant 1⁄4˝ seam allowance throughout the block
construction. Sew 2 medium-light batik 11⁄2˝ × 2˝ rec-
