(Two of the papers in this volume, by ArnoldandbyAllenandSchroder,werenotoriginallypresentedattheconference.) Itcanbesaidthatallthepapersinthisbookaremarkedbyaneagernesstopushthe originalmodelinnewdirections.Indeed,thebestpromiseofthisworkliesinwhat mayyetberealizedthroughnewperspectiveslikethosepresentedhere.
