NONDISCRIMINATION POLICY Network Technology Academy Institute (NTAi) admits students of any race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. NTAi does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sexual orientation, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship, and loan programs, and other school-administered programs. ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS  Applicants must be 18 years of age.  Must have a personal interview with school personnel.  Must be a high school graduate/GED certificate owner  Must meet course prerequisites. NTAi has an articulation agreement with Bunker Hill Community College, so NTAi students are able to transfer credit for course completion to Bunker Hill Community College for continuing matriculation. ADMISSIONS PROCESS To apply for admissions a student must contact NTAi for a personal interview. During this preliminary interview a counselor will discuss past experience, future goals and current technical knowledge. The counselor will make suggestions about a program or course which is most appropriate for the student’s goals. Depending on a student’s needs, NTAi will offer a monthly payment plan, work study, 3rd party student loans or an NTAi scholarship (for deserving military/veteran students). If the student wishes to enroll they must complete an application form and enrollment form. Students referred by the Department of Employment and Training Workforce Development must fill out their part of the Section 30 form which will extend NTAi Catalog Page 8 Network Technology Academy Institute, Inc. unemployment benefits to the end of the scheduled training, and any other forms an NTAi counselor may identify as required. Every applicant will be entered in the NTAi database. NTAi does not allow more than 24 students in each class. If there are more than 24 students, prospective students could be asked to either take another program or come back when the program is restarting. A file is created for each applicant; the file is kept secure in the administration office. Applicants are notified of acceptance within 48 hours. If enrolled, potential students are phoned weekly to answer questions. On the first day of class each new student will be referred to the website to view the academic calendar and course curriculum. NTAi Catalog Page 9 Network Technology Academy Institute, Inc. TUITION Tuition includes certification exam costs for enrolled courses and programs which have been paid-in-full. Private Education Loans If a student has not been approved for funding through Workforce Development or Trade, they will sign a Program/Course Payment Agreement along with a deposit or sign up for a 3rd party private loan agency. The payment policy is determined by the private loan agency and the agreement is made between that company and the student. Company Sponsored Tuition Reimbursement Many companies provide tuition reimbursement as part of their employee benefits package. Students employed full-time should contact the personnel office of their employer for information about reimbursement programs. Companies often require that the employee pay the tuition for a subject or program out-of-pocket and then be reimbursed by the company upon successful completion of the course or program. It is the student’s responsibility to arrange for tuition reimbursement from their employer. Other Financial Resources There are other potential resources that students should consider for financing their education. Scholarship aid is often available from high school organizations, church groups, and social, civic, and fraternal organizations with which students or their parents may be affiliated. Many companies provide scholarship aid for children of employees, while others directly aid students who work for them while attending school. Students may also apply for scholarship aid from professional organizations NTAi Catalog Page 10
