3. Officers of this institute visited few units for inspection in connection with NSIC registration.
4. A meeting was held between CDE & Agra Juta Laghu Udhyog Utpadak Samiti, Agra regarding
motivation for formation of a SPV to set up CFC in the leather cluster.
5. CDE of this institute attended review meeting of the clusters at New Delhi on 16th & 17th April 2008
organised by EDI, Ahemdabad.
6. Officers of this institute collected data from selected units regarding Wholesale Price Index and sent the
same to headquarters office.
7. Total 59 visitors visited this office during this month including 7 female.

MAY, 2008

1. Shri S.S.Dhillon joined in this Institute consequent on transfer from MSME-DI, Bangalore during the
month as Director.
2. Shri K.C.Vishnani joined in this Institute consequent on transfer from MSME-DI, Indore as
Asstt.Director (Admn.), Gr.II during this month.
3. The work of new office building was taken up with CPWD, Agra for Interior & Renovation work at
Kendralya, Sanjay Place, Agra.
4. During the month Total No.86 visitors including 8 female visited Institute.
5. Nominated Officers of this Institute attended the Meeting on 4th Census of MSME held in the O/o
Director of Industries, Kanpur.
6. Officers of this Institute visited their districts to chalk out the future planning of activities and
contacted DICs & Industries Associations.
7. Various activities of office face lifting like repair/maintenance, Intercom System/ Cleaning etc. started
in full swing.
8. An intensive motivational campaign was original at Khurja on 01.05.2008. Hon’ble Secretary (MSME)
Graced the IMC (Jan Jagran) as Chief Guest. Officers of NISEBUD, CGCRI, DIC etc. also attended
the function, about 400 persons participated.
9. Valedictory Function of ESDPs of Computerized Fashion Designing Garment Manufacturing &
Apparel designing was organized at Agra on 14th May 08.Ex-secretary (MSME) distributed the
certificate as Chief Guest to 101 Female candidates.
10. Various Tailor Made Programmes were designed to be organised under PD A/c.
11. Officers attended Seminar on Fashion Forecast for European market at Hotel Holiday Inn, Agra on 6th
May, 2008 organized by CLRI, Chennai.

sector of Agra.
15. An In house training seminar for all officers was organized on 4th census of MSME Sector.
16. Officers attended various Meeting with DICs & Industrial Association during the month.

JUNE, 2008-Annexure A

1. 2% Spot check & 5% Table Scrutiny work of 4th All India Census of MSMEs is going on.

2. An Intensive Motivational Campaign was organized on 11th June, 2008 at Hotel Punjab, Saharanpur .
More than 150 entrepreneurs participated in the programme. Chief Guest was Distt. Magistrate of
Saharanpur while Shri S.S.Dhillon, Director, MSME-DI, Agra was the key speaker of the programme.

3. A proposal for setting up of training Cell at MSME-DI, Agra, prepared during the month for onwards
transmission to DC (MSME) for Repair & Maintenance of Household equipments, office equipments,
Refrigerator & Air Conditioners and Repairing & Winding of Electrical Motors.

4. Renovation work to equip & streamline of MSME-DI, Agra is under progress. Proposal for EPABX ,
Intercom & Furniture for Conference Hall is sent HQ for approval.

5. Spade work is going on to organize various activities under Core-Programme Targets like IMCs,
ESDPs etc.

6. A request was sent to CPWD, Agra for preparing estimate of Civil & Electrical Work to be done at
Kendralaya, Sanjay Place, Agra. Lay out plan was also finalized for office accommodation.

7. Assisted Shri Sanjay Rana, of EDI, Ahmedabad regarding evolution of NVDP Scheme.

8. Work for Industrial Potential Survey for Pilibhit Distt. was started during the month.

9. An IMC was organized at Chankya ACL Mainpuri on 24.06.2008. About 100 candidates attended the
campaign.

10. An IMC was organized at R.N.ITI, Bilram, Kanshi Ram Nagar (Kasganj). There were 89 candidates
who attended the IMC.

12. Interviews for various courses under PD A/c were conducted during the month on Beautician,
Computer Hardware, Tally with Accounting, Mobile Repairing & Servicing & Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning etc.

13. A scheme to support ,Entrepreneurial & Managerial Development of SMEs through Incubators, was
went to 31 Engineering Colleges 6 Universities.

14. During the month An IMC was conducted on 23.06.2008, No. of participants 60 at Firozabad.
15. ESDP on Tally started from 24.06.2008 at Firozabad where 25 SC candidates are participating.

16. Three Training Programmes under PD A/c has finalized and will commence from 04.07.2008.

17. Three Advts. were released during the month for the training programmes at Agra.

19. ESDP on Shoe Designing & Manufacturing under Core Programme will commence from 04.07.2008 at

20. As many as 249 persons visited during the month including 23 females for different type of enquires at
Facilitation Counter of MSME-DI, Agra.

21. An IMC was organized at Hathras on 18.06.2008 in which 125 persons participated (one women, 21
OBC, 3 SC/ST)

22. Officers attended different meetings at their respective districts and coordinated with DICs, Lead
Banks, KVIB, KVIC, Indl. Associations & NGOs.

23. A proposal was prepared for setting up of a training Service Centre on Computer Aided Pattern
Grading, Cutting & Designing.

24. Several units were contacted to participate in International Fairs.

25. Officers contacted various Panchayats & Pradhans to organize Programmes for Rural Areas &
collected the data from CDO/Panchayat Raj Adhikari.

26. An IMC was organized at Mainpuri on 24.06.2008, GM, DIC, Distt. Employment Officer, Principal
Poly Tech, Lead Bank Manager were among the prominent speakers.

27. ESDP on Tally with accounting for SC/ST started on 24.06.2008 to 03.08.2008 at Mainpuri.

28. A meeting of Nunhai Industrial Association was convened at office meeting hall to disseminate the
information & schemes of Ministry of MSME, under the Chairmanship of the Director. About 25
Industrialists attended the meeting.

MSMEDI, Agra located at Sanjay place. Site plan was finalized and submitted to CPWD for seeking their
estimates for electrical and civil works.
The estimate is expected shortly from CPWD which will be sent to HQ for approval in the second week of
August-08.

3. A centre for wood carving & designing which was erected by U.P.Govt. & Ind. Association of Saharanpur
few years back, was lying closed. During the visit of Director, MSMEDI, Agra in the month of June-08 the
association was adviced to initiate action to make the centre operative. In view of the same IIA, Saharan
pur took steps and result of which the centre was inaugurated by the Commissioner of Saharanpur
Division & Director, MSME-DI, Agra. The Director, MSME-DI, Agra was also nominated as one of the
Board of Director.

4. During the month total 149 visitors registered their names at facilitations counter including 14 female
visitors for different type of assistance.

5. Rs.50,000/- were allocated for Library by the O/o DC(MSME),

6. Census work is going on with full swing; officers are doing 2% and 5% sample checking at different
districts under jurisdiction.
