The fol- lowing year he took me under his wing, and I became a bounty hunter. From then on, I was hooked on hunting miss- ing persons and began to learn as much as I could about finding peo- ple. Charlie taught me a lot, and for this I am grateful. Later our paths would lead us in different directions, but we remain friends and talk frequently. So, in saying all ofthat, Charlie, this book is dedicated to you. O Acknowledgment Patti, my wife, first learned of my midnight runs with Charlie George before we were even married. She knew then that life with me would be somewhat differ- ent and, more so at times, difficult. She married me anyway. Through it all she has helped me in more ways than I could ever count, one being the countless hours she spent proofreading this book for me. So, to Patti, with all my love, thankyou.
