The text of IEC Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as an Indian Standard without deviations. Certain conventions are, however, not identical to those used in Indian Standards. Attention is particularly drawn to the following: a) Wherever the words ‘International Standard’ appear referring to this standard, they should be read as ‘Indian Standard’. b) Comma (,) has been used as a decimal marker, while in Indian Standards, the current practice is to use apoint (.) as the decimal marker. Amendment No. 1to the above International Standard has been given at the end of this publication. [nthis adopted standard, reference appears to the following International Standard for which Indian Standard also exists. The corresponding Indian Standard, which is to be substituted in its place, is listed below along with itsdegree of equivalence for the edition indicated: International Standard Corresponding Indian Standard Degree of Equivalence IEC 60169-1 : 1987 Radio-ffequency IS 5054 (Part l/See 1) : 1995 Radio Identical connectors — Part 1: General requirements frequency connectors: Part 1 General and measuring methods requirements and measuring methods, Section 1General (second revision) Only the English text of the International Standard has been retained while adopting it as an Indian Standard, and assuch the page numbers given here are not the same as inthe IEC Publication.
