GADDIS, Locke Thomas Gaddis (Abstracted from the 27 November 2015 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) Locke Thomas Gaddis, of Middleburg, FL died unexpectedly Saturday (Nov. 21, 2015) at the age of 12. He was born Aug. 20, 2003 in Middleburg, FL. He was the son of Ian T. Gaddis and Donna King Gaddis (a native of Waycross, moved to Middleburg 12 years ago), of Middleburg, FL. Locke is survived by 3 older brothers, C. Tyle Lee, Thorn Lee and Bryant Crews; and 2 younger sisters, Macey M. Gaddis and Taler F. Gaddis. Surviving grandparents are Barbara Cox Caudill, Evelyn Gaddis and Donald King; great-grandmother, Eva Mae King; his uncle, Wade, and aunt, Tonya King Bennett, and uncle, Eddie, and aunt, Susann King, uncle, Eric Gaddis; numerous cousins and family members and a very special nephew, Colton T. Lee; 1 nephew, Noah Crews; and 2 nieces, Marly Crews and Madi Lee. A memorial service was held in Middleburg, FL. GADSON, Emma Clyde Gadson (Abstracted from the Waycross (GA) Journal Herald Newspaper) Emma Clyde Gadson, 94, formerly of Waycross, departed this life Tuesday (May 21, 2013) at her residence in Lithonia. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at First Born Church of the Living God, 1120 H.J. Echols Drive. Interment will be in Hazzard Hill Cemetery. The funeral cortege will leave from 919 Naomi St. at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include two daughters, Diane Walker (Mylon), of Chicago, IL, and Angela Griffin, of Atlanta; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and other relatives. GAGLIANO, Judy Gagliano (Abstracted from information received from Beggs Funeral Home) Judy Gagliano, 54, passed away on November 28, 2013 in Tallahassee, FL. Judy was a native of Mineola, NY, residing in Tallahassee. She loved making jewelry with beads, the outdoors, and was a passionate birdwatcher. She had the sweetest heart and everyone loved her. Judy is survived by her daughter, Jamie Henry; step-daughter, Katherine Poole; sisters, Susan Coe, Nancy Gagliano Moore, Laurie Walsh; and 2 grandchildren, Kiersten and Harper Henry. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Liborio Francis and Majorie Ann Semple Gagliano; husband, Stanley Poole. A private ceremony will be held at a later date. GAHAN, Dudley C. Gahan (Abstracted from the 21 May 2016 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) Dudley C. Gahan, age 86, of Waycross, died Thursday (May 19, 2016) at Waycross Health and Rehab after an extended illness. He was a native of New York State, born to the late Dudley M. and Charlotte Hackett Gahan. He grew up around the Buffalo, NY area. He has resided in the southeast Georgia area since 1970 and retired from the Glynn County School Board. He was a very active Brother in the Fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons, permanent member of Grand Lodge of Georgia in Macon. His Masonic work extended to the Scottish Rite Valley of Savannah, where he was rewarded by his work by being made a member of the KCCH (Honorary Society of Scottish Rite Masons) York Rite of Brunswick. Gahan was member of the Brunswick Lodge 717 and also a lifelong member of Grace Episcopal Church in Waycross. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Gahan of Waycross; a sister, Lois Heerdt of Marysville, TN; a nephew, Steve Bauer of Washington, DC; a niece, Diane Beverly of Peachtree City; and numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be Sunday at Grace Episcopal Church in Waycross. A Masonic memorial service will be announced at a later date. Miles-Odum Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. GAHAN, Jacqueline Poisson Gahan (Abstracted from the 6 May 2017 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) Jacqueline “Jackie” Poisson Gahan, age 88, of Waycross, died Sunday (April 30, 2017) at Waycross Health & Rehab after an extended illness. She was a native of New York State, being born in Buffalo to the late Deloreo James and Isabell Hackett Poisson. She resided in the southeast Georgia area since 1970 and worked as a retail clerk. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Grace Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dudley Claibourne Gahan. She is survived by two sisters, J. Bauer of New York, Lois Heerdt of Tennessee and a nephew, Steve Bauer of Washington, DC. A memorial service will be Tuesday at Grace Episcopal Church. Memorialization is by cremation. Miles-Odum Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. GAIL, James Augustus Gail Jr. (Abstracted from the November 1, 2013 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) 1 James Augustus Gail Jr. was born Jan. 5, 1954, in Waycross, son of the late Evelyn Scott Gail and James A. Gail Sr. He received his education from the Waycross School System and was a graduate of the Waycross High School class of 1972. He was a graduate of Albany State University where he obtained his bachelor of science degree in health physical education and recreation. He was inducted into the Waycross-Ware County Sports Hall of Fame in 2009. He worked at Albany State University in Albany, and CSX Transportation in Waycross. He was member of Mount Airy Missionary Baptist Church in Newton. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Harriett Gail and Rosemary Gail. He leaves to cherish his memories a loving wife, Regina Gail; 2 brothers, Lavander Gail (Linda), of Waycross, and Britton Gail, of Atlanta; 3 sons, Calvin Johnson (Adriana), of Waycross, James Augustus Gail III, of Bainbridge, and Eric Simpson, of Waycross; 2 daughters, Erica Johnson, of Waycross, and Derrica Gail, of Bainbridge; 2 aunts, Willie Maude Hamm, of Waycross, and Thelma Gail, of Macon; nieces, Krystal Gail, Latoya Gail, Tameka Morrison, of Atlanta, and Delacia Gail, of Atlanta; nephews, Michael Gail (Saturina), of Brunswick, and Shawn Gail, of Atlanta; grandchildren, Amaya Acheoche and Kamora Gail; and other relatives. GAILEY, Glenda Teresa Gailey (Abstracted from the Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home, Thomasville, Georgia, 3 April 2018) Mrs. Glenda Teresa Gailey, age 69, of Thomasville, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018 at Archbold Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Gailey will be at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home on Friday April 6, 2018. Interment will follow in Pavo Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Gailey was born to the late John Wesley Crew and Ellie Maude Owens Adams on February 22, 1949 in Tampa, FL. She married her husband Ronald Thomas Gailey, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2007. She was a homemaker and attended Capel Baptist Church of Cairo. Survivors include her children, Michael Wayne Rutland and Traci of Bainbridge, Freeman Eugene Ruff of Thomasville, and Robin Michelle Horton of Thomasville, grandchildren, Dustin Eugene Ruff, Eric Todd Horton, Cheyenne Michelle Wilkes, and Katie Pearce Hall and one great grandchild, Jacob Austin Ruff, and a special cousin, Pat Owens of Albany. GAILLARD, Jim Gaillard (Abstracted from the Madison Enterprise-Recorder Newspaper, Madison, Florida, May 4, 1951) Jim Gaillard, aged colored man who lived on the Coffee Place died last Friday. Funeral services were held Tuesday. GAINES, Bobbie Jean Gaines (Abstracted from Greene Publishing, Madison, Florida, January 22, 2015) Bobbie Jean Gaines was born on February 26, 1953, to Eloise Mobley Gaines and Charlie Gaines, Sr., in Madison. She gave her life to the Lord at an early age in Greenville. She served many years at Southern Baptist in Roxbury, MA. Bobbie Gaines loved being a servant for the Lord and His people. Bobbie Gaines was a loving, kind and exceptional woman. She was an educator for 30 plus years at The Emmanuel House and The Yawkey Center. She was devoted to her students; she loved being available for them in any way possible. If you really knew Bobbie, you would know the true love she had for her students, as well as their parents. Bobbie Gaines was a giver. She was truly Heaven sent for all the children that she touched while educating them for over 30 years. Another one of her passions was getting down in the kitchen. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese, collard greens and her mean fried chicken. She cooked from the heart and loved to feed anyone who was hungry; that was just Bobbie, always giving of herself for those in need. GAINES, Christine Jacobs Gaines (Abstracted from the 9 September 2016 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) A celebration of life service for Evangelist Christine Jacobs Gaines, age 60, will be Saturday at Power House of Faith Church, 1608 Louisiana Ave. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. “Sister,” as she was affectionately known, was born Dec. 9, 1955 in Waycross to the late James Jacobs and Loualice Roach Jacobs. She received her formal education from the Waycross Public School System and graduated from Waycross High School. She furthered her education by receiving a degree as a licensed practical nurse (LPN). She was a former LPN at Baptist Village Care Home. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in the summer of 1980 at Powerhouse of Faith Ministries. She served as president of pastoral care, as a praise leader, secretary of 2 the missionary department, member of the senior choir, member of the usher board and was chairperson of the first assistant pastor celebration. She was a prayer warrior and intercessor. She had a very pleasant personality and her congenial character won a place in the heart of those privilege to have known her. God called her from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday (Sept. 4, 2016) to rest from her labor. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Christopher Jacobs and Robert Solomon, and a nephew, Vincent Jacobs. Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Chauance Green Sr. (Lative); grandchildren, Chauance Green Jr., Christopher Green and Jarigah Perkins; sisters, Bonnie Kay Clark and Ann Jacobs; niece, Wilma Clark; nephew, Patrice Jacobs (Sherytina); cousins and other relatives. Gaines, 38, passed away early Sunday morning, July 7, 2013. He was born on January 31, 1975 to Johnny and Gwendolyn Gaines in Homerville, GA. Jamie received his education in the Lanier County School system He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, father Johnny (Lantene) and mother Gwendolyn (Tommy); 4 children, Jaquon, Jamaria, Jamod and Jernon; 2 brothers, Jason (Roblin) and Joshua (Kera). He also leaves a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins. GAINEY, Mrs. J. D. Gainey (Abstracted from the Madison Enterprise-Recorder Newspaper, Madison, Florida, August 30, 1963) Mrs. J. D. Gainey, of Brinson, GA, died last Saturday in the Bainbridge Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Survivors are her husband, Mr. J. D. Gainey, of Brinson; one son, J. D. Gainey, Jr., of Marathon; one daughter, Mrs. George Denslow, of Atlanta; and four grandchildren. Also brothers, Joe Cantey, of Havana; B. W. Cantey, of Savannah; C. B. Cantey, of Dothan, AL; and C. W. Cantey, P. S. Cantey and Frank Cantey, all three of Madison; and sisters, Mrs. R. S. Williams and Mrs. Bruce Bryan, both of Madison and other relatives. Funeral services were held in Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge on Monday August 26th with burial in the Brinson Cemetery. GAINEY, Jacob Gainey (Abstracted from the New Enterprise, Madison, Florida Thursday, May 5, 1904) Jacob Gainey, an old and highly respected citizen about 80 years old, died in the Manila settlement on the 28th. No record was found of the burial GALLAHAN, Deborah Joanne Anderson Gallahan (Abstracted from the Douglas (GA) Enterprise Newspaper 5 August 2014) Mrs. Deborah Joanne Anderson Gallahan, age 63, of Cumming, GA, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2014, at her residence, following a brief illness. Mrs. Gallahan was born December 31, 1950 to Florence Moore Anderson and the late Frank Augustus Anderson. Mrs. Gallahan, a native of Jacksonville, FL, was a L. P. N. with the Cherokee County Correctional System. She had a BA Degree in Computer Science. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Frankie Calender. Survivors include 2 sons Shane Russ of Hampton, VA, and Derek Russ of Woodstock, GA; her mother Florence Moore Anderson of West Green, GA; 1 sister Joan Anderson of Douglas, GA; 2 grandchildren Danielle Whitehurst, and Cameron Russ, both of Hampton, VA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. GALLAHAN, Troy Gallahan (Abstracted from information courtesy of Music Funeral Home, Lakeland, GA and Valdosta, GA February 19, 2015) Troy Gallahan, age 56, of Valdosta, GA passed away February 19, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 3, 1958 in Fredericksburg, VA. Troy was very devoted and involved in his daughter’s lives. He was adored by his grandchildren Emilee and Kristian, who knew him as "Paki". He was the owner of Superb Drywall in Central, FL for over 20 years. He loved the outdoors and spending time fishing with his daughters. He was also known and loved as "Coach Troy" to both softball and basketball teams that he mentored. Troy was full of life and enjoyed every minute of it. His reply to "How are you doing?" was "I'm so happy; I have to sit on my hands to keep from waving at everybody!" He had a love for nature and dogs including his 4 legged child "Mee2". One of Troy's favorite quotes that he lived by was: "Love is everything; to receive it and give it. Believe in God's promises". Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Pamela Gallahan, of Valdosta, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Kris (Trisha Lee) Forde, of Stroudsburg, PA; daughter, Tara Lee Gallahan, of Kissimmee, FL; 1 brother, Chester Gallahan, of King George, VA; 2 grandchildren, Emilee Marie Forde, Kristian William Forde; and in-laws, Linda (John) Suffield, of Valdosta, GA. As per his wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. He believed that flowers are for the living and 3 would rather donations to be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital and the (ASPCA) American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Music Funeral Services/Azalea Crematory is serving the Gallahan family GALLON, Fannie Gallon (Abstracted from the Madison Enterprise-Recorder Newspaper, Madison, Florida, April 22, 1955) Funeral services for Fannie Gallon, aged colored woman, native and long-time resident of Madison but for the past five months living in Lake City were held at St. James Baptist Church her Sunday afternoon. She is survived by eight sons, two daughters and a number of grandchildren. GALLON, Trasie Gallon (Abstracted from the Madison Enterprise-Recorder Newspaper, Madison, Florida, March 10, 1944) Trasie Gallon, young colored woman living in the Georgetown section, died last week, and was buried here Sunday. She was the wife of Roscoe Gallon. GALLOWAY, Nettie Galloway (Abstracted from the New Enterprise, Madison, Florida Thursday, February 16, 1905) At ten o’clock Monday morning after a painful illness, Mrs. Nettie Galloway passed from this life into her reward in the Home Beyond. She had suffered from a severe attack of lagrippe and her heart was unable to stand the strain. This estimable lady was sincerely loved by those who knew her best and she will be greatly missed. The remains were interred in the city cemetery Tuesday afternoon. For the past several years Mrs. Galloway had made her home in Madison with her nephew, Mr. J. F. Lines. At the time of her death she had almost reached the age of 72 years. No record was found of the burial GAMAGE, Jason Kevin Gamage (Abstracted by courtesy of the Waycross Journal Herald October 23, 2006) Jason Kevin Gamage, 35, died suddenly Thursday (Oct. 19, 2006) in Largo, Fla. He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross before moving to Largo, Fla., 10 years ago. Survivors include one daughter, Caitlyn Alexis Gamage; his parents, Franklin and Vonice Gamage, of Waycross; two brothers, Frankie Gamage (wife Lawanna), of Waycross, and Wayne Gamage, of Largo, Fla.; one sister, Michelle Wilson, of Homerville; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral was held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Music Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jim Spivey officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Crossview Church of God of Prophecy, 709 Garlington Ave., Waycross, Ga. 31503. GAMAGE, Vonice Kicklighter Gamage (Abstracted from the 14 December 2016 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) Vonice Kicklighter Gamage, age 74, died Monday (Dec. 12, 2016) at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald. She was a native of Pierce County who lived most of her life in Waycross as a homemaker and member of Crossview Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Kicklighter and Susie Mae Carter Kicklighter, two sons, Jason Kevin Gamage and John Wayne Gamage, and one brother, Shirrell Kicklighter. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Franklin Gamage Sr. of Waycross, one daughter, Carla Michelle Chauncey of Homerville, one son, Joseph Franklin Gamage Jr. of Waycross, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral will be Friday at the Music Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. GAMBLE, Charles Gamble Sr. (Abstracted from the 22 July 2016 Waycross, GA Journal Herald Newspaper) A celebration of life service for Charles Gamble Sr. will be Saturday at Greater Morningstar Missionary Baptist Church, 201 Reddick Street in Homerville. Interment will be in Holmes Chapel Cemetery in Clinch County. He was born Nov. 27, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Charlie Gamble and Katie Gamble. He grew up in Kingstree, SC. He received his formal education from the public school system of Williamsburg County, SC. As a young adult he moved to Homerville where he lived until his demise. He was employed at Bway Inc. for many years before his retirement in 1992. He was a loving and caring person who won a place in the hearts of those privileged to have known him. He departed this life Monday morning (July 18, 2016) at his residence after an illness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Charles Gamble Jr. and Cora Gamble. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 63 years, Lannie Mingo Gamble; sons, Bobby Gamble and David Gamble, both of Homerville; daughters, Janice (Mark) Magby and Elizabeth (John) Tolbert both of Homerville; 18 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; a brother, France Gamble, of Rochester, NY; sisters, Jessie Mae McCorty, of Fayetteville, NC, and Annie Ruth Chatman, of Rochester, NY; sisters-in-law, Viola (Pete) Miller of Homerville, and Carolyn 4 (George) Cooper of Stone Mountain; brothers-in-law, Tim (Katherine) Mingo of Miami, FL, Louis (Barbara) Mingo of Valdosta, Donald (Carolyn) Mingo of Albany, Earnest (Doris) Mingo of Brooklyn, NY, and Willie (Jessie) Mingo of Miami, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. GAMBLE, Darlene Gamble (Abstracted from the Voice, online news of Madison, Florida November 15, 2011) Darlene Gamble, 53, Live Oak, FL passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 after a long illness. The lifelong resident of Live Oak worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse for six years and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother: Elizabeth Bass, Live Oak, FL; two sons: Ricky & Shae Gamble, Live Oak, FL, Chad Gamble, Live Oak, FL; two brothers: Drew & Renee Bass, Live Oak, FL, Fletcher Bass, Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren: Dawson Gamble and Hannah Gamble. Gary was born September 12, 1944 in Perry, FL to David Elbert Gamble and Genevieve McKinney Gamble. Gary honorably served our country in the United States Army Reserves. Gary loved farming, horses, and children. He formed a festival called Back to Basics which was meant to teach youth and adults the old way of living off of the land. He was also involved with the Taylor County Horseman’s Association. He and his daughter began Back To Basics Youth Group teaching children to care for and ride horses. He was a very active member of Perry Church of Christ where he was the song leader for many years. He traveled all over the country working and there was always at least one person there whose life he impacted in a positive way. Gary was preceded in death by his parents David and Genevieve Gamble and two sisters Patricia Ann Gamble and Connie E. LaValle. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Margie Gamble; children LeAnn (Tim) Rainey and Lance Gamble, two grandchildren Garrett Rainey and Mark Anthony Lundy, one great granddaughter Aubrie Rainey, one sister Martha (Dean) French as well as a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. GAMBLE, Genevieve Atrice Gamble (Abstracted from information courtesy of Joe P. Burns Funeral Homes, Perry, FL Mayo, FL, and Madison, FL 21 September 2016) Genevieve Atrice Gamble, age 90, passed away on September 21, 2016 in Perry, FL. Genevieve was born February 27, 1926 in Perry, FL to James Jesse McKinney and Lela Sadler McKinney. Mrs. Gamble was a member of Perry Church of Christ. Genevieve was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Alaska, and around the country, taking her grandchildren on vacations to the mountains camping. Her and her husband enjoyed going to country/bluegrass music festivals. She liked to fish, especially flounder gigging. Mrs. Gamble was a wonderful cook, and loved to have big family gatherings. Mrs. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David Elbert Gamble, her daughters Patricia Gamble and Connie LaValle, and her brothers James and Edwin McKinney. Mrs. Gamble is survived by her son Gary (Margie) Gamble, and her daughter Martha (Dean) French; son-in-law Billy LaValle; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; as a well as a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Burns Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the Florida Sheriffs Boy's Ranch. GAMBLE, George Keith Gamble Jr. (Abstracted by courtesy of the Waycross Journal Herald July 27, 2007) George Keith "Gambino" Gamble Jr., 47, died Friday (July 20, 2007). He was born May 3, 1960, the son of the late George and Lula Mae Shaw Gamble. His parents came to Waycross in 1947 when the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad transferred his father here. He played football at Waycross High School. He was No. 22, a.k.a. "Cold Bad" and played tailback. He graduated in 1978. He also attended Jackson State University for a year, and then decided to join the United States Air Force for two years. He later married and had two children while working at Champion International. He went back to school in 2000 at Valdosta State University where he received four degrees in various fields. In 2004, he began his own company called Urban H.E.L.P. Services Co., Inc., a non-profit corporation. He leaves to mourn a son, George Keith Gamble III; a daughter, Lutria Gamble Jones (Asinia); two grandchildren, Tramil and Kedar Jones, both of Waycross; a sister, Stacey S. Nelson; two nieces, Chenique Shaw, CaShae Baker, and a nephew, Cameron Washington, l all of Lexington, N.C.; three aunts, Jessie Barnes, of Winston Salem, N.C., Cellestine Jones, of Baltimore, Md., Betty Jefferson, of Bridgeport, Conn.; two dear friends, Keith Taylor, of Atlanta, Anthony Cobb, of Waycross; two family friends, Monica Wiliams and Alfred Fergurson; and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Church of Christ Written In Heaven, 5 1137 State St. The Rev. John A. Moss will be the officiating pastor. Gracie was born February 12, 1957 in Perry, FL. Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her husband Billy Gamble and her parents Owen Cannon and Mary Maggie Stafford Cannon. Mrs. Gamble was of the Baptist Faith and attended New Beginnings Worship Center in Mayo. Along with her husband, she was the former owner and operator of Gamble’s Pine Straw for many years and also worked as a tower officer for the Florida Department of Forestry. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her grandkids. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and fishing. She was a native of Elizabeth, Miss., but lived in Homerville for many years. She later moved to Waycross before making Boston, Mass., her home in 1973. She was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church in Homerville. Her parents were the late Simon Franklin and Suzie Scott Franklin Pattisan. She was also preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Jannie Ruth Godwin; a son, Robert "Bob" Gamble; and her step-father, Ed Pattisan. Tom was born to Lota Belle Davis Gamble and George H. Gamble on October 13, 1921 in Headland, AL. He is survived by his wife Trudy Gamble, three daughters, Susan Weaver (Chuck) Jones, Jennifer Gamble (James Nicolls) and Allison Gamble (Mike Smith); four grandsons, Thomas G. Gee, Andrew D. Conner, Justin M. (Jessica) Weaver, and Kevin D. Conner; granddaughter, Katelyn E. Gee; great-granddaughter, Robin C. Gee; and sister, Betty (Bud) Mitchell. She attended South Georgia College and was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church, Jamestown United Ladies Guild and Ware County Homemaker’s Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caring friend. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, crocheting, canning, cooking, fishing and talking to family and friends on the phone. Mrs. Virginia worked with Winn-Dixie as a florist for over 12 years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Ford; brother, Roy Pierce and sister, Jean Permenter. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Winston Ganas, Naylor; 2 sons & daughter-in-law: Ricky & Lynn Ford, Ray City, Terry Ford, Lakeland; 4 grandchildren: Donald Ford, John David Ford, Allen Ford (Elizabeth Sears) & Alex Ford; 4 great grandchildren: Hailey Ford, Connor Ford, Emory Ford & Aubrey Ford; sisters & brothers-in-law: Sandra & Larry Luke, Lakeland, Sharon & Freddie Ramsey, Valdosta, Barbara Murray, Lakeland, Brenda Ray, Jacksonville, FL and a number of nieces and nephews. GANDHI, Dhansukhlal Gandhi (Abstracted from the 23 March 2018 Douglas (GA) Enterprise Newspaper) Mr. Dhansukhlal Gandhi, age 80 of Douglas, GA, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL, following a short illness. Mr. Gandhi was born September 15, 1937, to the late Gandabhai Gandhi and the late Diwasiben Gandhi. Mr. Gandhi, a native of Billmora, Gujarat, India, was a farmer by trade. Survivors include: his wife, Jashvantiben Gandhi of Douglas, GA, four children, Shilaben Baman and Rashmiben Gandhi both of New York, Amitkumar D. Gandhi of Douglas, GA, Sonal Gandhi of New Jersey, two siblings: Mansukhlal Gandhi and Chhibiben Gandhi both of India, eight grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gandy died Wednesday night at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Armstrong, following a long illness. Funeral service will be held this morning (Friday) at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mrs. Gandy was born January 29, 1871, in Madison, daughter of the late George and Martha Overstreet. She was married June 23, 1889, to Mr. W. N. Gandy, who preceded her in death many years ago. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. A. H. Armstrong, Madison; two sons, Messrs. T. O. Pot Gandy) after an extended illness. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County. His body was brought to town Saturday and buried Sunday. No record was found of the burial GANEY, Raymond Ganey (Abstracted from information received from Beggs Funeral Home, 9 December, 2014) Raymond Ganey, age 89, passed away on December 9, 2014 in Pensacola, FL. He was born to Frank and Julia Ganey on October 20, 1925. Raymond had 4 sisters and 2 brothers. In 1949 he married the love of his life, Betty Mertens. A devout man of God, Raymond served as a pastor for several Assembly of God Churches in Northwest Florida in Point Washington, Jasper, Madison and Monticello. Raymond was a disable veteran serving honorably in the US Army in WWII. Raymond loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing, and retired with Betty to live on Cherry Lake. He is survived by his wife Betty, 2 daughters Kathy Ganey and Cheryl (David) Cope, grandchildren Andrew Cope and Abigail Dugan, sisters Ruth Rhoden and Lillian and his 10
