All rights reserved. 5 Cisco TelePresence System EX Series Administrator Guide What’s new in this version New features and improvements System configuration changes This section provides an overview of the new and changed system settings and new features in the TC7.3 software Local preview of presentation in a call New configurations version. This allows the user to preview the presentation locally before Cameras Camera [1] Flip sharing it with far end. The feature has previously been Cameras Preset TriggerAutofocus available for EX systems, and is now available across the Software release notes portfolio. H323 Profile [1..1] Encryption KeySize For a complete overview of new features and changes, we NetworkServices CDP Mode recommend reading the Software Release Notes (TC7). Go to: TC7.3.0-TC7.3.2: Users are notified when snapshots are taken ► http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/collaboration- Configurations that are removed endpoints/telepresence-system-ex-series/tsd-products- Both the on screen display and web interface have warnings support-series-home.html when the snapshots feature is enabled. A notification pops up H323 Profile [1..1] Encryption MinKeySize on the on screen display, when a snapshot is taken. On the Video AllowWebSnapshots (TC7.3.3) Software download web interface the administrator is warned that this notice will show up when the feature is enabled. For software download go to: ► http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/navigator.html The system also logs when snapshots are taken, and which IP Configurations that are modified address the request was initiated from. FacilityService Service [1..5] Name It is possible to allow and disallow snapshots remotely, but OLD: <S: 0, 255> not to observe the room without the users being notified. NEW: <S: 0, 1024> FacilityService Service [1..5] Number TC7.3.3 and later: Remote Monitoring option key OLD: <S: 0, 255> Due to security reasons, taking snapshots of local and far end NEW: <S: 0, 1024> video streams from the call control page on the system’s web Video AllowWebSnapshots (removed in TC7.3.3) interface now requires an option key to be installed on the endpoint. OLD: <Off/On>, default Off NEW: <Off/On/LocalDeviceOnly>, default The remote monitoring option key can only be added to LocalDeviceOnly systems that are upgraded to TC7.3.3 and above. Remote monitoring is enabled once the option key is added, and the system rebooted. Once this feature is enabled, the only way to disable it is to remove the option key. This feature does not display warning messages or indicators on the local system that someone is monitoring the room. Please provide adequate notice to users of the system that the system administrator may monitor and control the camera and screen. All rights reserved. 6 Cisco TelePresence System EX Series Administrator Guide EX90 system overview The system is delivered with: • EX90 unit The camera can be tilted and • Touch controller with cable used as a document camera. • Handset with cable • DVI-D to DVI-I cable (recommended for optimal PC image quality) • VGA to DVI-I cable • Stereo audio cable 3.5 mm • Ethernet cable • AC adapter and power cable Detach the rear side cover when connecting cables. When finished, snap on the rear cover. EX90, front view EX90, rear view (without rear cover) Touch controller A handset can be attached to the Touch controller. All rights reserved. 8 Cisco TelePresence System EX Series Administrator Guide How to use the Touch controller The principal operating device for your Cisco TelePresence EX90 or EX60 system is a Touch controller. Call Help desk (optional) Self view and camera control The basic function of the Touch controller is illustrated below. The Touch controller and its use are described in full detail in the User Guide for your video system. Your contact information; tap to open the drop down window Choose headset, handset or speaker Basic operating principles Tap the touch screen to wake up the system, Mute your microphone if needed. Switch Do Not Disturb mode on or off Change the volume Open the Settings menu Tap a button to activate its function. Standby Missed calls indicator Use the dial pad for numeric dialing Access your voice mail Scroll in lists as shown. For full access to the system settings, the web interface must be used — the Touch controller provides access to a limited set of parameters only. The Touch controller and its use are described in the EX90 and EX60 User Guides; the web interface is described in this guide.
