The three sections of the report detail 72 resolutions that passed, 7 that were referred, and 9 that failed. The resolutions that passed are further divided into the following sections: (1) the Academic Senate and local senates, including roles and responsibilities and direct election of area (2) accreditation, related to training faculty to representatives; (3) affirmative serve on accreditation teams and standards; action/cultural diversity, including workshops and opposition to (4) articulation and legislation to repeal affirmative action; (5) budget and finance related to transfer services and transfer; (7) curriculum, including an integrated (6) counseling; growth funds; (8) faculty approach to multicultural education and academic freedom; development, including staff development and Assembly Bill 1725 (9) general concerns, such as facilities maintenance, workshops; civil action on discrimination, and an education effort between the Colleges and Thailand; (10) grading; (11) intersegmental issues of (12) matriculation; (13) professional collaboration and cooperation; (14) students, including fees, grading, and appointment to standards; the Board of Governors; and (15) vocational education. The second section provides the resolutions that were referred in the areas of the Academic Senate and its procedures; general concerns, such as equal education opportunities; and student funding. Finally, section 3 presents resolutions that failed in areas dealing with the Academic Senate, articulation and transfer, distance learning, faculty development, general concerns, and students. Lists of attendees, acronyms used, and policies on faculty nominees for the Board of Governors are appended. Pre-session resolutions are developed by the Executive Committee (through its committees) and submitted to A. the Pre-Session Area Meetings for review. Amendments and new pre-session resolutions are generated in the Area Meetings. B. The Resolutions Committee meets to review all pre-session resolutions and combine, re-word, append, or C. render moot these resolutions as necessary. Members of the Senate meet during the session in topic breakouts and give thoughtful consideration to the D. need for new resolutions and/or amendments. After all Session presentations are finished each day, members meet during the resolution breakouts to E. discuss the need for new resolutions and/or amendments. These resolution writing sessions are organized by topic to facilitate discussion. Each resolution or amendment must be submitted to the Resolutions Chair before the posted deadlines each day. There are also Area meetings at the Session for discussing, writing, and amending resolutions. The Resolutions Committee meets again to review all resolutions and amendments and to combine, re-word, F. append, or render moot the resolutions as necessary. The resolutions are discussed and voted upon in the general sessions on the last day of the Plenary Session. G.
