Message from the EMC 2012 Program Chairs
Welcometothe7thInternationalConferenceonEmbeddedandMultimediaComputing
(EMC-12),willbeheldinGwangju,KoreaonSeptember6–8,2012.
EMC-12willbethemostcomprehensiveconferencefocusedonthevariousaspects
ofadvancesinEmbeddedandMultimedia(EM)Computing.EMC-12willprovidean
opportunity for academic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues and
progressintheareaofEM.Inaddition,theconferencewillpublishhighqualitypapers
whicharecloselyrelatedtothevarioustheoriesandpracticalapplicationsinEM.Fur-
thermore,weexpectthattheconferenceanditspublicationswillbeatriggerforfurther
relatedresearchandtechnologyimprovementsinthisimportantsubject.
For EMC 2012, we received a total of 113 paper submissions from more than 20
countries. Out of these, after a rigorouspeer review process, we accepted 29 articles
fortheEMC 2012proceedings,publishedbythe Springer.Allsubmittedpapershave
undergoneblind reviewsby at least three reviewersfromthe technicalprogramcom-
mittee,whichconsistsofleadingresearchersaroundtheglobe.Withouttheirhardwork,
achievingsuchahigh-qualityproceedingswouldnothavebeenpossible.Wetakethis
opportunitytothankthemfortheirgreatsupportandcooperation.
