TheAdvancedPrimerConfiguration: UnitSystem • Length-Millimeter • Mass-Kilogram • Time-Second DrawingStandard–ASME TemplateModels–AcademicProgram Foldersin“creo_standards” ConfigurationBatchFile PTCAcademicProgram–CreoStandards TohelpconfigureyourinstallationofCreoParametric,thePTCAcademic Programprovidesaspecialfoldernamedcreo_standards. Ifyouinstallthe M010buildcodeofCreointhedefaultlocation,thecreo_standardsfolderwill belocatedin: C:\ProgramFiles\PTC\Creo2.0\CommonFiles\M010. ThefolderM010isthebuildcodefolder. Becauseitsnamewill changewitheachsoftwarerelease,youmayseeafolderwitha differentname. ProductionreleasesarenamedusingtheMprefixandathreedigit numbersuchas010. Pre-productionbuildcodesuseanFprefix followedbyathreedigitnumberstartingwith000. Insidethecreo_standardsfolder,areasetoffilesandfoldersthatareused toconfigureCreoParametric. Thebatchfilenamedconfigureisusedto quicklyandautomaticallyconfigureCreoParametrictouseselectedunit systemsanddrawingstandards. Inthistopicyouwillchecktoseeifyour installationofCreoParametricisconfiguredusingthesameconfiguration. If itisnot,youwilllearnhowtoconfigureyourinstallationforthecourse. Step1: Checktoseeifyourinstallationisconfiguredproperly. InthisstepyouwillchecktoseeifyourinstallationofCreois configuredforthiscourse. 1. If necessary, start Creo Parametric2.0. 2. IntheQuickAccesstoolbaror theHometab,clickNew . 3. IntheNewdialogbox,disable Usedefaulttemplateandclick OK. 4. If in the New File Options dialog box you see solid_start_part_mmks listedasthedefaulttemplate, your installation is configured correctly: • YoucannowcontinuetoStep 5andthentothenexttopic (DownloadingModelFilesfor theAdvancedPrimer). 5.
