The phylum Anthocerotophyta as represented by the families Anthocerotaceae and Notothyladaceae, the liverwort families Antheliaceae, Cleveaceae, Fossombroniaceae, and Pseudolepicoleaceae, and the moss family Bruchiaceae are all new for the state. Genera new for Nevada include: Anthelia, Anthoceros, Atha/amia, Blepharostoma, Bruchia, Codriophorus, Conostomum, Ditrichum, Fossombro- nia, Gemmabryimi, Pliaeoceros, Ptychostomum, and Rosulabryiim. A new treatment ofthe widespread Bryum caespiticium Hedwig isadopted forNorth America, with the segregates Bryum badium (Bridel) W. P.
