He is also a WCU visit- ing professor at Sogang University, Seoul, South Korea. He received his PhD in information technology from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia, USA. His research interests are in the areas of Big Data man- agement and analytics, ontologies, and semantic web, intelligent agent, and multiagent systems, and component-based software development. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles in journals, confer- ences, and books. He has edited 12 books and serves on the editorial board of eight journals. He has published in top-tier journals, such as Information Systems Research, ACM Transactions on Database Systems, Communications of the ACM, IEEE Transactions on Big Data, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, IEEE Transactions on Education, IEEE Software, and Healthcare Management Science. Dr. Sugumaran is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies. He is the chair of the intelligent agent and multiagent systems mini- track for the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS 1999–2016). Dr. Sugumaran served as the chair of the information technology committee for the Decision Sciences Institute. He has served as the program co-chair for the 14th Workshop on E-Business (WeB2015) as well as the International Conference on Applications of Natural Language to Information Systems (NLDB 2008, NLDB 2013, and NLDB 2016). He also regularly serves as a program committee member for numerous national and international conferences. Arun Kumar Sangaiah received his M Eng in computer science and engi- neering from the Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli, Anna University, India. He received his PhD in computer science and engineer- ing from the VIT University, Vellore, India. He is presently working as an associate professor in the school of computer science and engineering, VIT University, India. His areas of interest include software engineer- ing, computational intelligence, wireless networks, bio-informatics, and embedded systems. He has authored more than 100 publications in dif- ferent journals and conferences of national and international repute. In addition, he is an editorial board member/associate editor of various international journals. Arunkumar Thangavelu is currently associated with Vellore Institute of Technology University as a senior professor and as the dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering. He has more than 21 years of academic and R&D experience in industries. He has managed and initiated multiple international-level projects, including QoS for WiFi forum. He is an active consultant in R&D planning and proposal evalu- ation as well project guidance and review of PG projects and PhD works. Dr. Arunkumar Thangavelu’s area of research interest focuses on soft computing algorithms, ad hoc high-performance networking (MANET/ VANET/PANET), Big Data, data mining/analysis, ambient intelligence, and aspect-based network management, which includes mobile, context-aware middleware. He has published multiple papers in international conferences and journals. He has served as the chair and a committee member as well as an editorial board member for international journals and international conferences. He plays an active role in IEEE/ACM and CSI professional bodies and also works toward the upliftment of society and rural people development. Contributors S. Abirami received her PhD in the area of document imaging from Anna University, Chennai. Currently, she is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Information Science and Technology, Anna University, Chennai. She has more than 10 years of research experience. She has authored more than 90 research publications in international journals and conferences and two book chapters. She has mentored many sponsored research projects from Amazon, Tamil Virtual University, and the Center for Technology and Development. Her current research area focuses upon the use of machine learning, data mining, computational intelligence, and video analytics. R. Baskaran received his PhD in computer science and engineering from Anna University, Chennai. Currently, he is working as associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. He has more than 13 years of research experience. He has served as an editorial board member and technical program committee member for reputed journals and conferences. He has received the IBM Best Faculty Award, Shiksha Ratan Purashkar, and Certificate of Excellence in the year 2011. He has authored more than 155 research papers in international journals and conferences. His research interests include artificial intelligence, robotics, video analytics, and data mining. Dr. Siddhartha Bhattacharyya received the BS degree in physics, the BS degree in optics and optoelectronics, and the MS degree in optics and optoelectronics from the University of Calcutta, India in 1995, 1998, and 2000, respectively. He completed his PhD degree in computer science and engineering from Jadavpur University, India in 2008. He is the recipient of the University Gold Medal from the University of Calcutta for his MS degree. He is the recipient of the cov- eted National Award Adarsh Vidya Saraswati Rashtriya Puraskar for excellence in education and research in 2016. He is also the recipient of the Distinguished HoD Award and Distinguished Professor Award conferred by the Computer Society of India, Mumbai Chapter, India in 2017. He is currently the professor of information technology of RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India. In addition, he is serving as the Dean (Research and Development and Academic Affairs) of the institute. He served as the head of the department from March 2014 to December 2016. Prior to this, he was an associate professor of information technology of RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata, India from 2011 to 2014. Before that, he served as an assistant professor in computer science and information technology of the University Institute of Technology, The University of Burdwan, India from 2005 to 2011.
