How is it that the most important source of meaning in ourlivescanalsobethesourceof ourgreatestdistress? Alargepartoftheansweristhatattimespeopleareannoying, unpleasant, and downright mean to one another. Strangers, co- workers,friends,familymembers,andthelovesofourlivesalike frequentlybehaveinawidevarietyofwaysthatannoyanddistress us.
