supervisor Professor Bader S. Dweik who shepherded me through the bulk of

This thesis is dedicated to my parents, Mohammad and Shifaa, for thier
love, endless support and encouragment to introduce me to the joy of reading
from my birth, enabling such a study to take place today. I would like aslo to
dedicate my thesis to my father and mother-in-law for their never-ending
