Increases inCalTrainandother transitridership, reductions inautomobile congestion on parallel routes and improvements in regional airquality are expected to result. Impacts includethe loss ofthe Transbay Terminal and terminal loop ramp, resulting inadverseeffectsontheBay Bridge, a National Register ofHistoric Places-eligible resource; business displacements, and disruptionduring construction. Proposedmitigation measures include public information and management practices during construction, historic recordation, bus terminal replacement and expansionofCalTrain station parking.
