Dr Bhagyalakshmi B.R Place - Bengaluru Date - Abstract… ABSTRACT Title – “A Pharmaceutico-Analytical and Experimental study of Raja Pravartini Vati WSR to its action on Uterus” Back ground Diseases pertaining to reproductive system of females are increasing due to modern ways of lifestyle. Ammenorrhoea, Dysmenorrhoea is very common among working women who are exposed to mental stress due to hormonal disturbances. “Raja Pravartini vati” is the prescribed formulation for Ammenorrhoea, and Dysmenorrhoea mentioned in Bhaishajya Ratnavali under stree roga adhikara. It contains Shuddha Tankana, Shuddha Hingu, Shuddha Kaseesa, and Kumarisara. So the present study was done evaluate the effect of Raja Pravartini vati Pharmaceutically, Analytically and Experimentally. Objectives  To prepare “Raja Pravartini vati” according to Bhaishajya Ratnavali reference.  To conduct physicochemical analysis of final product “Raja Pravartini Vati”  To undertake the Estrogenic, Histopathological and Contractile activity of “Raja Pravartini Vati” on the uterus of experimental animals Pharmaceutical Study – Raja pravartni vati is a Khalveeya Rasa yoga. The ingredients of RPV viz Tankana, Kaseesa, Hingu, and Kanyasara were taken from a certified company. Processing of these raw materials was done. Tankana shodhana was done by Bharjana method, Kaseesa was processed by Bhavana with Nimbuka swarasa, and Hingu were processed by Bharjana with Goghrita. These processed ingredients were taken in Khalva yantra and properly mixed and Kumari swarasa bhavana was given. After proper trituration Vatis of 375 mg were made. Analytical Study – Analytical study of final product was done organoleptically, physico chemically for total ash, Acid insoluble ash, loss on drying, disintegration time and chemically for assay for iron and borax.
