RECOMMENDATION That the Undergraduate Studies Committee approve the changes to the Bachelor of Arts Table A, and the Bachelor of Economics Table A That the Undergraduate Studies Committee recommend that the Academic Board: 1. approve the proposal from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences to amend the Bachelor of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Advanced Studies; 2. approve the amendment to the Course Resolutions arising from the proposal with effect from 1 January, 2018; and 3. approve the amendment to the Unit of Study tables arising from the proposal with effect from 1 January, 2018. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY During the first quarter of the year the Faculty undertook work to streamline and clarify the offerings for 2018. The changes made have been supported by the Education Portfolio and relevant Schools and Departments. BACKGROUND / CONTEXT The streamlining and clarification of the structure and content of the Bachelor of Arts formed a part of the third phase of the Faculty’s part in the Curriculum Transformation Project. CONSULTATION Changes to the Tables were made in consultation with the Education Portfolio, the Academic Model Team and each of the departments and Schools in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. IMPLEMENTATION The tables approved by Academic Board will be the basis of what is included in the 2018 handbook.
