There are too many people involved to thank each individually, however, we would like to acknowledge the assistance provided by several groups. First, we want to thank the members of the District Technology Council for their ongoing support and input. Our superintendent, Dr. Jere Hochman, was instrumental in providing support and vision for a District Technology Model to guide current and future technology planning. Many members of the current Council participated in the development of the 2000 Technology Plan. Although we were not part of that original effort, we believe the plan was a thoughtful and thorough document that paved the way for the implementation of a comprehensive technology infrastructure to build upon. A list of the current District Technology Council members is provided in Appendix A1. Second, we want to thank members of the Technology Steering Committee that provided significant guidance for all Technology Council activities. This group was charged with facilitating activities for the Technology Council and associated subcommittees. Members included: Debbie Garrett, Kent Forrest, Margaret Heard, Sheila Merrell, Bill Olsen, Mark Stockwell, Carol Stone, Paul Tandy, Janice Thomas, Peggy Wald and Becky Warrren. Paul Tandy and his organization (Public Relations) are to be commended for effectively and professionally conducting a number of focus groups that provide key insight to several issues requiring attention by the Technology Council. We also want to thank Kent Forrest, Bill Olsen and Janice Thomas who with us formed the CORE Committee to plan and facilitate all Council activities. Among those that provided invaluable input to establish the basic concept for the Tech Plan outline to match DESE requirements, thank you Dr. Margaret Heard, Mr. Kevin Curtis, and Mr. Kent Forrest. A special thanks to Kent Forrest for his energy and foresight towards putting all of the subcommittee information together in a standard and usable format was truly amazing. His energy, enthusiasm and devotion to this effort are without parallel. Finally, a sincere thanks to the Parkway Board of Education for their on going support of the technology program.
