The locations of all individual sessions will be included in the paper program that you will receive when you pick up your registration materials at the meeting (if you opted to receive a paper program) as well as in the meeting app beginning the first day of the meeting. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT REGISTRATION Please note: it costs $50 less to register in advance than to register at the meeting. Early bird registration at www.apaonline.org is available until March 14 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Online registration will be closed from March 15 until March 27. Beginning on March 28, registration will reopen, and you may register online or at the meeting registration desk. Registration fees provide the major source of support for every divisional meeting. Without that income, the APA is unable to host meetings and provide quality services and resources to members. Thank you for your support and cooperation. PRONOUN STICKERS Beginning this year, as a show of the APA’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, we are introducing pronoun stickers for your name badge, including blank stickers that will allow you to use a pronoun of your own choosing. Stickers will be available for pickup at registration and can easily be worn as a show of solidarity, and a means of making our annual conference a friendly and safe environment for all. GENDER-NEUTRAL BATHROOMS AND QUIET ROOM A gender-neutral bathroom and a quiet room will be available at the Westin Gaslamp. The gender-neutral bathroom is located on level three of the meeting space in the pool area. A key for the quiet room is available at the registration desk. 1 Special Events EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING Wednesday, March 28, 3:00–7:00 p.m. BOOK PUBLISHING WORKSHOP Wednesday, March 28, 4:00–6:00 p.m. (Session 3M) COFFEE BREAKS Thursday, March 29, Noon–1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 4:00–5:00 p.m. BUSINESS MEETING Thursday, March 29, Noon–1:00 p.m., Pacifica Boardroom (Westin, second floor) PRIZE RECEPTION Thursday, March 29, 3:00–4:00 p.m. THE AAPT-APA TEACHING HUB Thursday, March 29, 9:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. (Sessions 4N, 5L, G5A, G7A) Friday, March 30, 9:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. (Sessions 7M, 8L, G9A) PUBLIC SESSION Philosophical Perspectives on Immigration Thursday, March 29, 6:00–8:00 p.m. Neil Morgan Auditorium at the San Diego Public Library PUBLICATION ETHICS FOCUS GROUP Thursday, March 29, 6:00–8:00 p.m. MEMORIAL RECEPTION FOR MARILYN MCCORD ADAMS Sponsored by the Templeton Foundation, the UCLA Department of Philosophy, and the Rutgers University Department of Philosophy Thursday, March 29, 6:00–9:00 p.m. ANNUAL RECEPTION Thursday, March 29, 10:00 p.m.–Midnight COFFEE BREAK Friday, March 30, 11:00 a.m.–Noon 2 Special Events POSTER PRESENTATIONS Friday, March 30, 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. PUBLIC COMMENT SESSION: APA GOOD PRACTICES GUIDE Friday, March 30, 1:00–4:00 p.m. DEWEY LECTURE RECEPTION Friday, March 30, 5:30 p.m.–6:00 p.m. PRESIDENTIAL RECEPTION Friday, March 30, 7:00–8:00 p.m. PUBLICATION ETHICS IN PHILOSOPHY: SCHOLARS CONVERSATION Friday, March 30, 7:00–10:00 p.m. INFORMAL MINI-CONFERENCE ON ISSUES OF INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY IN PHILOSOPHY Saturday, March 31, 9:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m. (Sessions 10L, 11K, 12H, G11D) MEMORIAL RECEPTION FOR DELIA GRAFF FARA Sponsored by the Sanders Foundation, the Princeton University Department of Philosophy, the MIT Department of Philosophy, and the Cornell University Department of Philosophy Saturday, March 31, 3:00–4:00 p.m. PATRICK BYRNE RECEPTION Sponsored by the Prindle Institute for Ethics Saturday, March 31, 3:00–6:00 p.m. BERGGRUEN PRIZE RECEPTION Saturday, March 31, 6:00–8:00 p.m. 3 2018 Program Committee Aaron Zimmerman, chair Lucy Allais Holly Andersen Yuval Avnur Margaret Battin Saba Bazargan-Forward Thomas Blackson Derek Brown Joe Campbell Zlatan Damnjanovic Shamik Dasgupta Kenny Easwaran E.
