Sten Ebbesen discovered the text and demonstrated already in 1981 that a critical edition of it was a desideratum.Hesuggestedthetopictomein2007andourdiscussionsonthe texthavecontinuedsince.ThemanyconjecturesascribedtoSteninthecritical apparatusofthiseditionspeakofhisvastanddeepknowledgeofthemedieval receptionofancientlogicandhisformidableskillsasaneditor. Ialsowishtothankthefollowingpeople:YukioIwakuma,whogenerously lentmehistranscriptionofthetextandthussavedmealotoftimeintheinitial stagesoftheproject.PaulThomkindlyletmeusehispreliminaryeditionof RobertKilwardby’scommentaryandhassuggestedanumberofimprovements.
