BuildingupontheCity'sstrongcreativeworkforceandexistingsubstantial artseconomytoincreaseemploymentandleverageneweconomicopportunities; 3. ExpandingCityresourcesforlowandmoderateincomehousingandaffordablestudiosand workspaces,tohelpretainartistsinSanFrancisco. IndevelopingrecommendationsfortheBoardofSupervisorsregardingwhetherandhowto updateorrestructurevariouselementsoftheCity'sagencies,programsandpolicies concerningthearts,theArtsTaskForceshallholdpublicmeetings, solicitsuggestionsfrom thenot-for-profitartscommunityandmakeuseofexistingstudies,analysesanddata compiledbyCityagenciesandotherorganizations. ThevotingmembersinCategories 1 through5,above, shallbeappointedbytheBoardof SupervisorsandtheMayor. TheBoardofSupervisors shall appointonememberineachof thesecategoriesandtheMayorshallappointonememberineachofthesecategories. With respecttothevotingmembersinCategory6,eachmemberoftheBoardofSupervisorsshall appointonemembertotheTaskForceandmaygivepreferencetoindividualsresidinginhis orherrespectiveSupervisorialDistrict. Thenon-votingmembers shallbeappointedas specifiedabove. EachTaskForcemembershall serveatthepleasureoftheappointing authority. Inmakingappointments,theappointingofficialsshalltakeintoconsiderationCitypolicythat themembersofallboards,commissionsandcommitteesbebroadlyrepresentativeofthe diversityinethnicity,race,ageandsexualorientationoftheCityandCountyandhave representationofbothsexes. Membersshallserveatermofsixmonths.
