BIOGRAPHY OF THE AUTHOR
Taken from his student, Shaykh Muhammad ibn Hddi al-
Madkhali ('-ail in the introduction to Shaykh Ahmad an-
Najmi's book 'Al-Mauridul 'AdhAbul ZildV.
We have also attached the names of some of his published
writings, along with the news of his death, taken from the book
‘Al-Majmu'ul Nadi fi Siratil ‘Allamah Ahmad an-Najmi' that
some of his students and loved ones wrote.
His name and his lineage:
He is our virtuous Shaykh the 'Allamah, the scholar of
Hadith, the scholar of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), Shaykh
Ahmad ibn Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn Shablr An-Najmi
'All Shablr from Bani Hummad which is one of the
well-known tribes in the area of Jazan.
His birth:
The Shaykh was born in the village of An-
Najamiyyah, on the 22nd of the month of Shawwal, in
