Marking the centennial of intercollegiate football competition puts Northwest- em State Lniversitv in a select group of southern universities sponsoring NCAA Division I athletics programs. Northwestern and The Citadel are celebrating their 100-year anniversaries of football this fall.The\ will join an exclusive group of20 universities with Di\ision I programs to have reached that landmark across the Deep South. In Louisiana. Northwestern steps into a second century of football alongside LSU. Tulane. Louisiana Tech and Louisiana-Lafayette.
