A good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires. -William Arthur Ward. Mr. Eddie Polk Since 2002, Mr. Polk has been more than a teacher at East Longmeadow High School. Hi has not only taught but also created classes solely based on his passion for inspiring children. His students have made close and personal connections with him in his classes and in the Multicultural Club, which he created. He has worked tirelessly to educate students academically as well as culturally and civically. He has always challenged his students to do their best and, above all, to become informed and independent thinkers. In return, his students have come to know him as an inspirational teacher as well as a trusted friend. His sincerity and devotion have earned him the love and respect of students and staff alike. For these reasons, and many others, the Class of 2018 dedicates this year's Aegis to their beloved teacher, Mr. Eddie Polk.
