Duringthisperiod, C.Fernandesemployedspectral methods to describe the melt flow that occurs in the polymer extrusion process. Afterwards, C. Fernandes joined the Department of Polymer Engineering at the University of Minho (Portugal) wherehecompletedhisPh.D.degreeinScienceandEngineeringofPolymersandCompositesin2012. Duringthisperiod,C.FernandesmadeimportantcontributionstothefieldoftheInjectionMolding Processbyapplyingmulti-objectiveevolutionaryalgorithmstosolvetheinverseproblemoffinding the best injection molding parameters to achieve predefined criteria.
