Reaves President "Today's College forTomorrow's Leaders" CENTENNIAL UNITED STUDENT MOVEMENT OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT On behalf of the Centennial United Student Movement Officers, it is with great joy that we present to you the 1995-96 Centenrual Acorn. Congratulations to Timothy Privette, and his wonderful staff for their many hours of dedicated hard work in completing this project. We have endeavored this year to successfully effectuate "A Century Of Service," and understand that it is altogether impossible to completely codify ninety- nine years of Oakwood destiny into the pages of this book. Nonetheless, within these many pages lie the faces of unsurpassed potential for greatness. The faces that you see, are the promising products of many parents who sacrificed over, and over again to provide Christian education for their children. The faces that you see, are the grandiloquent result of great administrators, who have helped us reach the highest academic achievements. Furthermore, the faces that you see, are the condign consideration of those individuals who have shared in the completion of this century of Oakwood's existence. And so, as Oakwood begins its second century, the onus is on us, to in the few remaining years ahead, enhance our earthly experience by passionate prayer, and implacable work. As the perpetual clock of inevitability continues to tick, we as Oakwood students, are still going. In the words of Elder C.B. Rock, "We do not wish for an extended stay in this world. Our hope is anchored in the school of eternity; but should time last, let the record show that together we worked and played, and studied and prayed - here on these hallowed grounds - during Oakwood's hour of high destiny and meaningful transition. And if time should last beyond our day, it will be sufficient that heaven record our names as those who were happy participants in the greater transition from here to eternity."
