Can Tese Bones Live? 103 Comprehensive Bibliography of Works by Robert Jenson 117 Index 135 v P R E F A C E Robert W. Jenson Adam Eitel’s Introduction leaves aside two things he could not do and that I must do now. One is to thank him. Te idea for this book was his, the impetus was his, and he did almost all the labor. I am very grateful. Indeed I am honored that someone with such theological talent should have devoted so much of his time and his energy to my work. Te second thing I must do is to refect on what I was trying to do in the lectures on which this book is based. Te title of the book— A Teology in Outline—d oes not quite capture what I was trying to give the undergraduates who attended those lec- tures. I  think the best word for what I wanted to give them is “taste”: I wanted them to taste a bit of Christian theology, that unaccustomed food, in hopes that they might fnd it savory. vii A T H E O L O G Y I N  O U T L I N E
