Sir: I have the honorto transmit herewith the manuscript of awork
entitled "A Handbook and Grammarof the Tagalog Language," consist-
ingof399 pagesof typewriting, which I estimatewill makeabout200pages
in print. I would suggest thatthe work be bound in asubstantial water-
proof cover, similar to that used for the latest edition of the "Soldier's
Handbook," and thatthe size be 8 by 5|inches, orapproximatelyso.
I would also invite attention to the folders accompanying. * * * it
would bebesttohavetheleft-hand edgeofthe folders begin attheoutside
margin ofthe printed page, so thatwhen extended the studentcould read
thecorrespondingtext to the synopsisatthe sametimeandnotbeobhged
to turn the pages back and forth.
