Complexity of data sets is characterized by large volume, imprecision andpartialreliabilityofdata.Thismayinvolvefusionoffuzzyandprob- abilisticinformation,referredtoasbimodalinformation.Sometimes,it maybepossibletodescribesuchdatabyusingsomekindof“If-Then” ruleswithfuzzyprobabilisticcomponents.Inthiswork,anapproachto clusteringofdatasetsforextractionrulesthatcontainbimodalinforma- tionisproposed.TheapproachisbasedonthefuzzyC-meansobjective function and an evolutionary technique to produce type-2 fuzzy clus- ters. Further, Z-number-based cluster descriptions are formed by using the relationship between type-2 fuzzy set and Z-number. A real-world applicationisconsideredtodemonstratetheusefulnessoftheproposed approach.
