Byggingenjörsprogrammet VT 2012 Högskolan i Halmstad Sektion för Ekonomi och Teknik Examensarbete 15hp 1 Alexander Andersson Fredrik Ljungberg Abstract The maturation of concrete is strongly affected by surrounding temperature and wind conditions. During the summer, when the temperature is around 20 °C, there are normally no complications when stripping form but when the outdoor temperature is around 0 °C there is a risk of collapse and other complications. The general rule is that the compressive strength of the concrete has to reach 5 MPa before form stripping is allowed to be performed. Some tools, for example the computer program Hett11, are available to help you create a predicted, theoretical, picture of how the concrete’s compressive strength develops under certain conditions but the material parameters that are used by the program are out of date. The purpose of this thesis is to update the old material parameters in Hett11 and to create a document of recommendation that consists of different measures that has to be done to be able to strip a form after 18 hours. This thesis is composed of both theoretical and practical parts which are comprised of: Litterature studies Laborations Field studies Data collection of comlpleted laborations and field studies Evaluation of material parameters Verification of material parameters Simulations in Hett11 The thesis was conducted in collaboration with Betongindustri AB.
